Enekom is an engineering company, involving in research, development and engineering activities on the technologies supporting the sustainable life concept.
The company is located in the special technology development area (Technopolis) inside the Middle East Technical University campus in Ankara / Turkey.
Our main focus area is to develop new and innovative R&D projects, mainly new generation broken rail detection systems (RailAcoustic®), railroad signaling and communication systems, fiberoptic based communication systems used railway and highway projects.
We are also working on some other R&D projects, related to ultra-high sensitivity spectro-photometric detectors and analyzers, fuzzy controlled oven temperature and environment control systems, new technologies for better utilization of alternative energy sources, automated food processing equipment and also a number of other technologies supporting the idea of sustainable life practices in various social environments such as, agricultural activities, rural settlements etc.
We also design, develop and manufacture high precision performance test and diagnostic systems for diesel engines and fuel injectors and very high-pressure fuel pump/injectors.
Our research and development team is a multi-disciplinary team, consist of academic and professional engineering expertise. We continue our research and development efforts in the field of engineering and natural sciences, by establishing a strong relationship between the university and the industry.
WHERE THE INSPIRATION COMES FROM ?
The basic working principles of RailAcoustic was inspired from the communications of the Whales with their family members.
Enekom was Established
Enekom was esteblished at Middle East Technical University Technopolis Campus in Ankara.
Level Crossing Software Modul, Fuel Control Kit
Software modules for level crossing control systems were developed.
An alternative fuel control kit for tractors has been developed in the scope of a project supported by the Turkish Tractor Factories and METU Chemical and Mechanical Engineering Department.
IP based telco-fiberoptic communication system development studies were initiated.
RailAcoustic studies started
The basic R & D studies of the 'RailAcoustic' Rail Fracture Detection System were initiated.
RailAcoustic field tests completed
Initial field tests of the 'RailAcoustic' Rail Fracture Detection System were completed on the TCDD Ankara-Konya HS line.
The patent application of the system was made.
2nd Patent application was filed
2nd Patent application of the RailAcoustic detection system was filed.
Test and adjustment equipment for fuel pumps and injectors of diesel engines have been developed.
RailAcoustic 2nd Patent PCT review application made
The PCT patent application for the 2nd Patent of the RailAcoustic Rail Fracture Detection System was made.
Fuzzy heat control modules developed, the RailAcoustic PCT review positive report granted
Fuzzy heat control modules for built-in ovens have been developed. In these furnaces, 70 - 150 W-hour energy was saved only by using these control modules.
A positive report was obtained from the examination by PCT of the 2nd patent of the RailAcoustic system.
RailAcoustic International patent application
For the international applications of the RailAcoustic 2nd patent, the US, EU, China, India and Japan patent applications were made and the invention was protected.
In India, Canada, the Netherlands, UK, Korea, Australia and Japan, cooperation steps were taken for RailAcoustic technology.
Enekom, who was invited to IC-TRAM 2017 conference in India, introduced RailAcoustic. The system created an great enthusiasm in Indian market.
Enekom signed the first contract with Turkish Railways Authority (TCDD)
On April 6, 2018, Enekom signed a contract with TCDD. The internationally-patented Railacoustic was started to be implemented at the 90 km section of the Ankara-Konya High Speed Rail double track line and at the 4 km section of the Ankara-Kırıkkale line. The system provided early, remote, automatic and precise detection of rail fractures.
Enekom completed the Works on due time with high performance
In December 2018, Enekom completed the contracted work scope. The 2 months trial operation was successfully passed and the system performance test results were accepted by the Employer.
Enekom exhibited the RailAcoustic in Eurasia Rail 2019
TCDD – Turkish Railways Authority executives have paid a visit to the Enekom stand in Eurasia Rail 2019 and congratulated the successfully completed project.
